Rauco
Located
10 k to the west of Curico,
this is the first town that
you find on the way toward
the Curicó coast. Similar
to the other communes of
the province, it is made
up of old colonial houses,
which served at some point
as plantation owners' homes.
The center hanging bridge
stands out, that is located
on little streets off of
the Center Square. In this
commune, we find the localities
the Parrón and El Llano,
known for its goat cheese,
jams and mushroom cultivation.
Approximately 7 k from Rauco
the sector of La Palmilla,
in spite of being private
property, is a good place
for fishing pejerrey. Rauco
is a place for the tourist
to stop on the way to the
Curicó coast.
