Harvest Celebration of Molina:
The fourth week of
March is the celebration of
the grape harvest. The celebration
lasts three days, the main
avenue is closed (Quechereguas)
and filled with stands selling
diverse products that have
to do with wine; crafts, clothes
and all type of articles.
The main celebration is made
in front of the main square
and the municipal building
where a stage is constructed
for the presentation of musical
groups and artists of national
and international trajectory.
Thousands of community and
regional locals attend this
traditional celebration every
year.

Wine
Harvest Celebration of Curicó:
Celebrated
the third week of March
with diverse activities
in the wineries, restaurants,
and other typical places
of the Curicó community.
The event that stimulates
the greater consensus of
public is made in the town
square of the city. The
celebration consists of
activities during one week
and more. It was born by
the initiative of Miguel
Torres, a winemaking industrialist
and missed with Creole and
Iberian customs. There are
wines of the region along
with wine tastings, including
innumerable samples of crafts,
gastronomy and other spectacles
of this celebration, such
as the weighing of the queen
in bottles, and the blessing
of the first batch of wine.

Festival
of Payadores Teno: Each
February there is a national
gathering of payadores,
in which the best practitioners
of this art of poetry and
music combine talent and
passion.
Festival
of the Voice of Mataquito:
February, in the
Club Deportivo Union Comercial
gymnasium. The festival
is fundamental in finding
and giving opportunity to
talented local artists.
Among the requirements to
participate, it is required
to be at least 16 years
old, not have won first
place in the years prior,
or have recorded discs or
cassettes at a professional
level, moreover, they must
be soloists with a presentation
in Spanish.

Goat Rancher Festival in
Rauco: it
is carried out in El Parrón,

billy-goat ranchers, in
which the first three places
are awarded, other awards
are given for the most popular
artist and the queen of
the festival.
Virgin
Celebration of the Candle
Villa Prat: this
religious festival is celebrated
the first days of February
in several places in the
country, in the province
of Curicó it is celebrated
in the grotto of Villa Prat.
There they raise tree branches
where the people spend the
night, dancing and consuming
foods prepared in small
food stands.
